About David

David Quinn’s tenure as Chief Financial Officer at The Fifty/50 Group is characterized by a relentless drive for systemic efficiency, technological modernization, and uncompromising operational accountability. He operates not as a passive custodian of historical financial data, but as an active, demanding architect of the company’s profitability.

Quinn acts as a catalyst for growth and stability by taking direct ownership of enterprise software deployments (Tripleseat, GoTab) to optimize revenue capture and spearheading a data-driven transformation of sales and marketing. Working closely with the group’s public and private equity investors to ensure financial compliance, David possesses a unique ability to connect high-level corporate strategy with daily restaurant operations. This sophisticated oversight ensures that The Fifty/50 Group remains scalable, legally protected, and profitable within a challenging hospitality environment.

David’s impact extends far beyond traditional finance into cross-functional operational strategy. Acting as a catalyst for corporate accountability, he aggressively audited the organization’s sales and marketing infrastructures, dismantling ineffective internal silos and championing data-driven performance metrics. He optimized the company’s marketing spend by restructuring agency partnerships and enforcing strict return-on-investment (ROI) tracking for every digital initiative. As the group expanded its footprint, David spearheaded the development of comprehensive pro forma financial models for multimillion-dollar real estate ventures—such as the Harley Clarke property in Evanston—and utilized his extensive background in multi-state labor relations to ensure total regulatory compliance across all tri-state operations.

Prior to his current role, David served as the Chief Financial Officer for The Second City, Inc. from April 2015 to March 2023. Before transitioning to corporate leadership, David built a rigorous foundation in public accounting. He held roles at prestigious firms including Plante Moran, PricewaterhouseCoopers, and Sikich. In these positions, he managed complex audit strategies, oversaw compliance with PCAOB standards, and performed vital auditing procedures for a multi-billion dollar merger.

David earned both his Master of Accountancy and his Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Western Illinois University, graduating with outstanding academic distinction.
